I have been using birth control pills for about 2 years now. I remember when I first started using the pill, I felt sick for about 5 months and it took that long for my body to get use to them..

I will be getting off the pill shortly so my hubby and I can get pregnant...

HAS ANYONE HERE OR HEARD THAT WHEN YOU GET OFF THE PILL, YOU FEEL SICK/HEADACHES FOR A WHILE UNTIL YOUR BODY ADJUSTS AGAIN???????????????

when i stopped taking them once, it made me bleed for like 2 weeks straight and i panicked. but i called my gyn doc, and she said that is normal. my body was adjusting to the hormone change. i'm sure its normal, give it a few days, if you're still feeling the same, go to the doctor or call a doctor

I went off birth control pills a few years ago (then went back on them a few months later), one thing I do remember is that my periods started getting alot heavier after going off the pill but I don't think I got sick at all.

I am sure it varies for people but any change in hormone levels affects most people. I was on the pill like you about 2 years and went off and got pregnant the next month--I have been trying to figure out now after 2 children the best thing for me to do with keeping my hormones in line. Good luck in getting pregnant!

Yep, my wife has complained of the same thing. But just an FYI, when you decide to go back on the pill, you shouldn't feel this bad for 5 months; you can change your medication to other BC pills. It shouldn't take more than two weeks for your body to adjust to it. Good luck.

Sorry, but yes. You'll probably feel the same way you did when you first got on the pill. There are herbal medicines you can take to treat the symptoms, ask your doc to recommend one. Hope you get pregnant or feel better soon!

It is possible to get sick and get headaches because of the drmatic hormone difference. Talk to you Dr. about Provera, and if it's right for you. It helps you with that prob, and getting prego.
