i had adware and i got rid of it but i was wondering if it mite have came from limewire or filecroc or any of the p2p sharing programs i have

They might have come from any place the net the p2p sharing programs a website using activex control .......................etc
we will finish by tommorrow if u are thinking where it came from the problem is how can u prevent it from coming back

Run a scan on each and every file u download from sharing programs
Install mcafee site advisor http://www.download.com it will block the sites that downloads harmful things to ur computer

A lot of P2P software has some kind of adware! It's a way of getting profit out of their programms. They have to live from something. Use open source p2p software instead, normally no one is interested in putting adware in that software

It possibly could have. Some people put viruses in these programs just because they get a rise outta it. The sad thing is, they never know who's going to get it. But actually I suppose they don't care. Have to be careful when downloading. I usually check the host before downloading and see what they have. Can see what type of song you got or if it is an EXE. file. Those usually contain viruses. Be Safe and Good Luck

Buy a Mac. Thy are immune to viruses, spyware and adware.

dude i have that stuff on my computer from lime wire and iv tried every thing i cant even get it off
