"Jupiter is composed of a relatively small rocky core, surrounded by metallic hydrogen, surrounded by liquid hydrogen, which is surrounded by gaseous hydrogen. There is no clear boundary or surface between these different phases of hydrogen; the conditions blend smoothly from gas to liquid as one descends.
Jupiter's atmosphere is composed of ~90% hydrogen and ~10% helium by number of atoms. The atmosphere is ~75%/24% by mass; with ~1% of the mass accounted for by other substances - the interior contains denser materials such that the distribution is ~71%/24%/5%. The atmosphere contains trace amounts of methane, water vapor, ammonia, and "rock". There are also traces of carbon, ethane, hydrogen sulphide, neon, oxygen, phosphine, and sulphur. The outermost layer of the atmosphere contains crystals of frozen ammonia. Through IR and UV measurements benzene at a relative mixing rate of 2x10-9 to hydrogen and other hydrocarbons have also been found."

The upper layers of Jupiter are made of gas, primarily hydrogen and helium. However, as you get deeper and deeper into Jupiter, the pressure increases to millions of times Earth's atmospheric pressure. This causes the hydrogen and helium to liquefy, just like we do to liquefy gasses on Earth in pressurized tanks.

Astronomers are unsure whether or not Jupiter has a solid core of rock and metal. Some say it has to have one, or it's rapid rotation would make it even less spherical than it already is. Others say it could be gas and liquid through and through. It is a controversy that will likely go on for years.

Its atmosphere is gas but the inner parts are solid . It gravity is tremendous if u got too close u would be crushed by your own weight.
