He is responsible

According to Ann Coulter Clinton saw the planes heading for the WTC from his house in Chappaqua. Only he was busy stroking his house maids hair as he stood staring out the window.

President Clinton was the President during the World Trade Center Bombing in 1993 and he FAILED to go after those responsible and serve justice. As for the events on September 11, 2001; Clinton had eight years to fight terrorism between 1993 and 2001 but instead slashed military spending and was not concern about what happened around the globe.

He's not responsible; neither is Bush. The responsibility is on Al Quada and Islamic terrorists. That being said, Clinton did not do much to fight terrorism around the world (nor did anyone including Bush prior to 9/11), and if he had been actively fighting it, Bin Laden might have been caught or at least been unable to coordinate an attack like 9/11. Remember the US had Bin Laden on their most wanted list long before 9/11.

Well, we can blame a lot of people all day, but we all know who is really responsible for the attacks...Osama Bin Laden. Maybe Clinton did let him get away, maybe Carter's policies ticked him off, but those are the points that the Republicans will tell you. How about this...We had Bin Laden cornered in a cave in Afghanastan just a few years ago and we let him go. Then, George W. Bush said in a press conference that he "wasn't too concerned about him." But they will continue to tell you that Clinton let Bin Laden get away from him and made America weak. Hello kettle...you're black.

When Bill Clinton wanted to go after Bin Laden in the 90's he was attacked by the Republican controlled congress for it. Reagan trained Bin Laden with his Afgan/Soviet freedom fighter programs. Then when the Afgani's won, we abandoned them and gave them no support, causing anti-American sentiment in Bin Laden and his cronies.

In other words Reagan and Bush (41) are more responsible.

Responsiblity for the WTC attacks fall within every administration dating back to Carter.

BTW, the 9-11 Commission found no "reliable evidence to support" the claim that Sudan made such an offer to hand over bin Laden to Clinton.

Bin Laden sponsored the attack. He has been quoted as saying that Jimmy Carter's policy in the Middle East is his source of hatred toward the US.

All Clinton did was let Bin Laden get away when the US Marines wanted to bring him in.

He slashed funding for the military and the intelligence communities.

He made sure the various agencies responsible for gathering security information could not share it with each other.

The attack was planned while Clinton was in charge.

He proved the WTC could be attacked without reprisal.

No one is responsible. I don't blame Bush, I don't blame Clinton. I can guarantee you that no one would have believed it. Hindsight 20/20 and all. Everyone CLAIMS that they would have done something, but nothing would have been done about it. I knew that terrorists would strike the U.S. back in 92. I even wrote a paper about terrorism for my speech class. I was laughed at.

I don't think any kind of attack would of happened if Clinton was still president.
