Yeah, Hendrix, Paige - but what about The Edge from U2?

THE EDGE all the way!!!!! He has such a unigue style. I think Jimi Hendrix is good and all but I think he's over rated. John Frusciante is also a very good guitar player (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Finally someone agrees that The Edge is one of the best.

Not a big U2 fan, but you can't deny his contribution to making the band a huge success. As far as him being in the likes of a "Hendrix" or Stevie Ray Vaughn, I'm not sure. My favorite guitarist is Kirk Hammett, Zakk Wylde and of course Dime-Bag Darrell(R.I.P.)

The Edge is a very original player, that is what I like about him the most actually. He can take something simple and make something out of it. Here are some other underrated guitarists that I like: Pete Townshend, Andy Summers, Alex Lifeson, David Gilmour and Lindsey Buckingham.
