They're both great and all, but which is better?

Beatles. Queen was great but they always had sort of a niche or novelty band appeal to me. The Beatles were pioneers in so many ways, and their songs have appeal across an enormous range of listeners.

The Beatles - of course. I truly believe that the people answering Queen just are not old enough to understand the influence The Beatles had on not just music but the popular culture of not just this country but the world.
There have never been Queen Haircuts, Queen Boots, Queen Radios, Queen Record Players, Queen Line of Clothing and so much more.
PS - The Queen never invited the music Queen to meet The real Queen.

Just because the Beatles were influential does not necessarily make them good. They wrote some good songs but couldn't play them. You'll find that Beatles covers are much better than the originals without exception.
Queen on the other hand could write and play and were just as influential in different ways. They are the greatest stadium rock band of all time and one of the most successful bands ever in terms of the number of top 10 singles. They also held all of the top 10 positions in the Argentinian charts at one stage. Not many bands can claim that.
Final conclusion, Queen win hands down.

Neither is better, but Queen covered more ground musically than The Beatles. The Beatles didn't cover as much ground as they could have if they would have stayed together.

You are right, they are BOTH great groups, but without the Beatles, there would be no Queen.
