How do you lose pounds? I am trying to lose some before school starts.

The healthiest way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise. But you knew that.

For one, you should replace any sodas you drink with water. If you have a craving for one then buy a diet soda. It also helps to eat low-fat foods. You also need to lower your sugar and carb intake. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. People who sleep too little or too much are more likely to be overweight. I also found this great article in prevention magazine to tone your buns and thighs when you can't exercise every day. All you need is a set of 2 or 5 pound dumbells(if you want the workout to be more effective). You spread your feet about a foot and a half apart. If using dumbells, hold them in your hands at a right(90degree) angle. You then squat and hold for 3sec.(make sure your knees are not further out than yor feet). Do 3 sets of 12 repetitions(36 times) for 3 days a week. You should see results in a few weeks.

I'm not sure if this is healthy for everyone but I have been successful at loosing weight this way...
Breakfast: 1 whole wheat pita
Lunch: 1- 6-8 oz grilled chicken breast or about 6 oz of other lean meat.
Snack: a small handful of pretzel sticks
Dinner: 1- 6 ox chicken breast
Evening snack: a few slices of cantaloupe.

I am not that hungry and it is working. It took a few days to get used to eating like that but now I'm used to it and it is not hard.

exercise a lot...try going to the gym at least 4 times a week. Just don't exercise too much or you can pull a muscle..
if you do lots of stretches you can lose weight too
just eat healthy foods
set a goal for yourself like how many pounds you want to lose before school starts...
you can also do crunches to get a better looking body
but like i said don't over do it, you can also play soccer, basketball, tennis stuff like that to play with your friends so you can have fun while trying to lose weight
drink a lot so you don't get dehydrated. Watch what you eat

Exercise...running, skipping, walking, walk the dog, swimming, going to the gym or even playing an active game that doesnt feel like exercise for at least 20mins a day 3-5 times a week. drink lots n lots of water...too much can never kill you. to make sure i get a good amount of water a down a glass as soon as i get out of bed, have at least 2 before lunch, 2 before dinner, and one after, this is the water your body needs you shld drink no less. and make little changes to your diet such as brown or whole wheat bread instead of white, eat lots of fruits n veg, choose baked or grilled rather than fried. i love chocolates n junk food so i still eat it but i limit myself!

Didn't they do that with woman's dressing sizes? Isn't a 10 now a 7 and a size 4 a size 2 now?

Might as well do that with weight too.

Well, i used to be pretty big. Now im really slim! Just eat 1 cup of strawberries for breakfest, then do 200 Sit-ups everyday for 2 weaks. Brush ur teeth, um, jog in place for 10mins. When i jog, i get a really big head ache so i just do little stuff to keep me in shape.

drink lots of water... and get your 3 servings of milk ( studies say that it helps lose weight.) and try avoiding those fatty foods.. perhaps getting a salad at MC Donald's instead of a double cheeseburger. Also try eating smaller amounts .. like not getting seconds a few dinners a week.

WHoa, i need tip;s to GAIn weight..haha, well, all you have to do is eat food that has less fat cholestrol and some other fattening ingredients... dom some sports 3 times a week or more... sweat... thats what i do...=)

Walk a lot, eat protein at all meals, cut back on carbs,drink 8 glasses of water at least cut out caffeine.
