I come from a family of witches, well on my mother side anyway. I find it interesting and inspirational. I myself do not practice witchcraft, but follow the freedom in it. You can really connect with yourself and with nature in a way that was meant to be. Mother Earth is what it is all about. It is how we survive and many cultures before and after Christianity have paid tribute to it in their own way. Be proud of your family and your mother. Your roots are strong and you should try to learn all you can from them and cherish them. You are luckier than you think.

If anyone trys to push the religion thing on you it is only because they don't understand and are scared of what they don't know.

What proof does Witchcraft have? This is a believe that is handed down from family and communities. If you don't believe in witchcraft it can do nothing to you. For example if you are crossing the street and you trip on a crack is this because you were cursed? Only your believe will enforce this reality from an objective prospective it was because you were not paying attention to the uneven pavement and your foot happened to catch the edge of the surface causing you to fall having to do with gravitational forces, Inertia and Mass. Tell your mom that your going to college to study Physics and Chemistry, then you will truly become a warlock.

OMG. Some people are truly ignorant, you know? 'Specially the chick who says "serve Jesus" and all that jazz. REAL, AUTHENTIC witchcraft has nothing to do with evil and crap. It's actually another name for Wicca, an actual religion. A person who studies witchcraft worships a god and goddess, and when they connect, it turns into Spirit. Wicca is actually part of Paganism, a nature loving belief. There's a rule in Wicca that says "Ever mind the rule of three, what you give out comes back to thee". What it means is that whatever energy you through out into the universe, it will come back to you three times as strong. Think of it as Karma. It's a very peaceful, loving belief, with respect of all things great and small. You'll find that most witches are in tune with nature and thoughts and feelings. Yes, some witches do perform spells, but not the kind we see on TV. When a witch performs a spell, he/she is sending out positive energy to whatever the spell is about. For example, when a witch does a spell to heal someone, they try to "put out" their energy into the universe to help that person. Witchcraft is all about helping and giving to people. It's NEVER about harming someone! If someone tells you otherwise, they're a liar. It all goes back to the three fold rule. A true witch never brings harm to him/herself, or anyone else for that matter. Hope this helped you!

What type of witchcraft are you talking about? Black magic? Or when a person believes that the Earth is Holy. Fire, water, earth and wind are the 4 elements of the Earth and you take care of it and what "she" has given you. Most of the true witches I have heard of aren't evil or mean, and believe that anything that you do in your entire life will come back to you 3 fold. So, most of them are true and kind because they fear what COULD happen in the future...

Whether you subscribe to good old-fashioned witchcraft or New Age Wicca or something altogether different, it all boils down to a combination of religion and superstition. Often times spells and potions purporting to do magic are simply herbal remedies that at one point were not understood by those affected by them -- chewing a nasty concoction of willow bark eased pain in certain circumstances, and people didn't know for many hundreds of years that the bark contained aspirin; they just knew it worked. As for spells that call upon spirits or demons to accomplish certain tasks, these are mostly superstition. When cast upon a believer, many of the signs that the spell is taking effect are simply psychosomatic symptoms produced by the target himself under the belief that something is supposed to happen.

Is there really such a thing as magic? As Isaac Asimov once noted, any technology that is sufficiently advanced will be indistinguishable from magic. So perhaps there are people who subscribe to a wholly different branch of science from that which we are familiar. There is always room in the universe for a little mystery, so if your family believes in this stuff, more power to them. Literally.

The mind can believe in many things and if it believes strongly enough, yes, witchcraft is possible...however, White magic is probably the best to dabble in if someone is going to...black magic? Not so wonderful...but again, if you believe then yes, you will associate signs, events, happenings as part of the magic process. If you don't believe? Then most likely you will neither be affected nor bothered by it.

Witchcraft is probably very powerful...because the minds ability to be susceptible to suggestion is strong. If you tell someone you smell something burning...they will eventually feel that way as well...power of suggestion..sometimes it is far stronger than any magic, spell or incantation.

It is amazing how many people see "witchcraft" is evil...it is not. The image we see of the green-faced, long, warted nose and large knuckled fingers comes from when they used to beat mid-wives so badly they scarred their faces and broke their noses...their hands and fingers were smashed up, too. You need to do your own research...read about the earth-based religions...Wicca for instance. Prayer is just watered down spell casting. Do not cast spells with any incantation without knowing what you are doing.

IDK, Just do what motivates you, if it unbaleivable in your mind I would suggest doing it cause it probably wont work....But witchcraft would make me **** my nuts...Crazy stuff.

Witchcraft, in various historical, religious and mythical contexts, is the use of certain kinds of alleged supernatural or magical powers. A witch is a person who engages in witchcraft. In historical, mythological and demonological contexts a male "witch" is more frequently termed a warlock, wizard, sorceror, or simply magician.

Witchcraft ultimately evolved from European neolithic Shamanic practices. The word and meaning of Witchcraft since has become controversial and contested by both those who self-identify as witches and many others, but the general connotation is that of the wielding of immoral or malevolent supernatural intent.

Sincerely...

I'm a believer... in God... but totally ceptic with witchcraft... however... like many people say... there are witches!

However... nor all are true witches... 'cause one of my neighbours pays thousands of dollars every year to be visited by a witch to free her house from spirits... and it never worked!

Witchcraft works if you believe in it. It's like a placebo-effect. Sounds ridiculous, but the placebo-effect can be very strong, and people who believe in witchcraft have died from being cursed, just because they believed in it strong enough!
