How do I turn an aiff or MPEG music file into a MP3 thats capable of going onto MySpace Music?

Use iTunes. Make sure you have your import setting to what you want (iTunes > preferences > Advanced > Importing), add the file(s) to your library, select it, and choose "Convert Selection to MP3".
