Forgive him and pray for him. "If you do not forgive others, then neither will your Father in heaven forgive you." Jesus loves you.

Well, you have three options.
1.) Kill your friend or spread just as vicious rumours about her.
2.) Talk to her in a mature manner. Tell her how you feel and how hurt you are. And see if there's any way she can take back what she said. Just see if she can make it right in some way. But be completely honest with her about how you feel.
3.) Let her say whatever she wants but live so that none believe it.
I am sorry for what you must be going through. I've gone through the same thing so i think i know crappy you must be feeling. The only thing i can say is that good friends never spread lies. Ever. They're not called friends when they do.
Rest assured that karma does exist.
But i do think you should talk to your "friend".
Don't get angry or defensive when people bring the lies up because that projects a bad impression on yourself. They think it's a method of covering up.
So seriously, i know this is hard to do, but option # 3 really is the bad.
If anyone speaks badly of you, live so none will believe it.

I would distance myself from that person and probably cut them off completely. Then they will get the hint. If it has damaged your reputation, you sure wouldn't want to be "friends" with this person, but once the words are said you can't take them back. and there is no use trying to talk people into believing your truth. Some people are ignorant like that and love to see you hurt or down.

I would dare him say those things again to the people in question with me present and as many people as possible present, and so your reputation is not ruined, on the contrary, everybody will know what a straight forward person you are.
This has happened once to my husband and it was an excellent thing to do; everybody looked up to him, after all one needs courage to do that, and this is what these liars are counting on, lack of response.
Go get that snake!!! Good luck!!!

I would pray for them and pray that people would have enough sense not to believe your "friend". That's what I would do. But if you are not a praying person, I would ask your friend why they are spreading lies about you. They could be jealous of you or something. If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about. Because what you are doing and what your friend is saying is two different things.

First thing is to confront the offender & ask point blank if what you are being told is true or not .
Than if he / she admits to what you are being told ask them why they are telling any one that will listen when they should have talked what ever has caused the rift between you two over to see if an answer could be drawn to ensure that nothing like what you are saying will happen .

confront her/him. tattletaling is okay in this situation. if it gets out of hand, tell someone. or if you want to play dirty, and im not suggesting this, spread crap about her/him too. but make sure they really are doing it. i had some secondhand gossip hit me about another friend gossiping and i found out it wasnt true. another time a friend stood up for me and it ended up nasty. i love them both but the two hate each other. just find out the truth. then do what you need.

well... first off i would confront this "friend" then ask them to make sure and if it's that hurtful tell them it is and tell them the truth. If their really your friend then yall should be ok again, about your reputation... not really sure but all things die down eventually!

Pray for them, they need help from God.
You in your heart know they aren't true and your true friends will stand by you. Ask God to bring you through this and give you the wisdom to overcome it
