If I can rephrase your question: Are defense mechanisms part of our emotionally-focused coping skills?
Yes, they are. All humans come equipped with self-preservation in mind. We feel like our opinions and perceptions are right. Some of us feel like opposing views are threats and see to convince them to accept our views to eliminate the threat and justify our own position. This is a natural human thing that is not learned.
We can gain wisdom by using empathy and acceptance. We can be tolerant and learn to appreciate diversity. This has to be learned.
We have to have confidence and realize that if we're wrong or merely different, then we are not bad or inferior. That is not necessarily a natural human thing, it is learned.

i've got heard that it rather is somewhat greater beneficial than in basic terms a melancholy-avoidance mechanism (to handle innovations of your individual mortality). some human beings have justified suicide via non secular ideals, in spite of everything. it rather is not often a controversy for survival of the species... One theory (and that i make an apology via fact i'm no longer able to keep in mind the source) skill that the final-innovations, and the resourceful powers it possesses, serve the purpose of repeating the "orders" of the gang. In different words, it enables us to function as a societal animal, like ants. in spite of the undeniable fact that, rather of following pheromonal instructions and indicators like ants, we've a complicated equipment of photos that stimulates the final innovations. interior the absence of team superiors, the imagined voices and imagery conjured up maintains to enhance the societal instructions of the gang. The innovations could be engaged and inspired for this to be clever. you would be conscious many international religions have rather comparable subjects, even while they have developed in isolation from one yet another. Following this theory, one would desire to argue that comparable imagery and logos have interaction the innovations in comparable procedures. So, in short, it rather is an enormously complicated, instinctual way of speaking the societal hierarchy. via this, people have been able to function like a hive of bugs, development super structures and cities and attaining issues that would have on no account been refrained from this mechanism.
