Lots of water and cranberry juice. You don't necessarily have to go to the doctor if the fluids help it go away in a few days. But if you start to get frequent UTIs or it doesn't get better in a few days, call your doctor.
UTIs can be caused by lots of things....improper wiping after using a toilet, not going to the bathroom when you need to, wearing tight fitting clothing...
Drink the fluids and even though it stings, keep going to the bathroom. If you're still concerned, you can never go wrong talking to a doctor.

The sooner you go to the doctor, the faster you will feel better. Drink water. I have heard pros and cons on drinking cranberry juice. I go with the cons. Cranberry juice has a lot of sugar in it and infections (bacteria) like sugar as much as our mouths do.
The doctor will prescribe an antibiotic, and may prescribe an anti-spasmodic (pyridium). If he does not prescribe the anti-spasmodic, ask him about the over the counter UTI meds.
I have not tried herbal, homeopathic remedys, however, I have heard that goldenseal root is good. I don't know dosages or anything though.

I would see your doctor right away as you don't want it getting any worse. I have heard that drinking cranberry juice can prevent urinary tract infections so it's best to drink when you are infection free.

Drink lots and lots of Cranberry juice. I suggest you call your doctor as soon as you can, he may be able to perscribe you with antibiotics right away. The only downfall is that antibiotics for UTI's are really strong so you may get a yeast infection as a side effect. Good luck!

Drink water and cranberry juice and make an appointment with your doctor right away. If you don't get antibiotics, you may end up with a bladder or kidney infection (and believe me, that is NOT fun).

It will only get worse not better so I wouldn't wait much longer.
Lots of cranberry juice might help a little.
