personally, i dont give a dam what people think of me when i ride. i ride for me. not to impress the public. i ride a 77 shovel and i do what i need to get the job done. i've had my bike loaded like a traveling circus with tents, fishing poles, cookware,,, all the goodies. didnt bother me any. real riders just appreciate the love of the wind and the brotherhood of fellow bikers. posers just gotta look good, at any cost.sacrifice comfort, reliability, and common sence just to fit in. do whats good for you.

This is funny to me, I can't help but get a kick out of the 'New' Harley riders...Saw one going down the road talking on a cel phone the other day. Almost swerved him to see if he'd drop the phone to grab the front brake..Sorry, and no offense...But I guess a back pack would go against the traditional grain...Get some better bags with a liner so you're suit won't get dirty !!

If you ride a motorcycle you are dress up!!!!!! Getting dirty is just a plus. But if you really want to stay clean take your car. [ Hint put your close in a plastic bag before putting them in your saddle bags ] A back pack looks like you are going to school.

You can always wrap a plastic bag around the clothes, or slip them in gallon zip lock bags for putting in the saddle bags...or backpack is fine if you prefer....just a shame to use one when there's plenty of storage space on the bike...

It's pretty common to see riders with backpacks. It's not unusual. If you aren't comfortable with that you can wrap your clothes in a plastic bag before putting them in the saddlebag. It should keep them clean.

You should be asking other HD owners rather than riders on this site. You want to fit in with them, not us, and we might give to bad info.

Pack packs are fine for Honda riders,,,If ya gotta go Yuppy style,,,,buy a set of hard bags,,(Corbin),,,,they'll suit your needs,,,,,,Please don't wear a backpack,,,It just isn't right for a Harley,,,,,Do you make your Dog wear sweaters?,,,same thing
