Most of the time when facing a wall where hot and cold water is coming out of the wall, hot is on the left and cold is on the right.
The water heater should be marked as to which one is which.

It should be obvious as to how you missed the hot water feed to the bathroom. Unless you were doing some other plumbing at same time or something similar.

Follow the hot water line from kitchen, which you say is working and then follow hot water line from bathroom. The two should both tap into a common line. That would be the hot water coming out of water heater.

If you have hot water going to kitchen, you have water coming out of the heater. Now figure out how to get the hot water line from the bathroom onto same line that is supplying hot to the kitchen.

Good luck

what percentage gallons and how previous is the prevailing unit? If the prevailing heater is previous +12 years then it would want to be time for a sparkling one because it would want to be packed with sediment. If the unit is as small as you assert you may opt to seem into getting a 'tankless' unit. those are the most power valuable and do not soak up a lot area. the drawback is they're extreme priced and can want to require a sparkling flue to be put in. search for suggestion from a plumber or handyman you may believe. If the warm water heater is undesirable it is the responsibility of the owner to do all needed upkeep -verify your employ.
