How about how much discrimination is associated with profiling certain groups of people? Hard to admit, but this sort of profiling happens still even today. There are quite a few case studies about how people are turned down jobs on their bases of the color of their skin. This affects their economic status...

Can a politician admit he is wrong or change his mind and
get elected?
Is it possible to have a state which is religion free, yet not
inhibit the practice of any religion?

The concepts of profiling in regards to people of a certain race of with a disability were brought up. I would include discrimination on the basis of age as well in regards to employment. We live in a society that is growing older.

Why don't you write about an issue pertaining to disabled persons, like employment, under-employment, unemployment?
Most people have no idea how blind or visually impaired people do a job or if they work at all, same with other physical disabilities.

Legalization of either drugs or prostitution . They are great topics with plenty of socio-economic impact, particullarly when you get into increased tax revenue and less expense with incarceration of offenders currently.
