just don't use it for 45 days and they automatically change it to inactive/closed

just sit on it for 90 days and have no use initiated activity. after that period of time MSN will cancel and inactivate your hotmail account.

You don't have to wait till hotmail closes it automatically, just go here: http://www.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/accountclose

don't use your account for 90 days or contact them and tell them you don't want the account any longer

after 6 months of inactivity it deletes it on its own, until then your stuck

just don't login. eventuall it will freeze the account, then after that it will delete it permanently.

after 60 daysof not logging in, they will close it for you
