Finally had to give up and ask for the answer and was SO TICKED at how easy it should have been. 10 points and ***** to first correct answer. A man walks into a 5 n dime store on Main St. He purchases a 4pk of toilet tissue, a handful of paperclips and 2 C size batteries. On his way home he bumps into a metal pole but drops nothing because the bag is tied. When he opens the bag at home, he finds only the toilet tissue in the bag, yet he SAW them put all his products in there and tied the top immediately. What happened?

Pole magnitized the clips to the battery and they incenerated?

My guess would be that the paperclips and the battery completed a circuit when he bumped into the light pole and they disintegrated; all the acid was absorbed by the tissue paper. Of course, I'm only guessing, because this wouldn't actually happen, but... *shrug*

My guess is the paperclips and batteries fell to the bottom of the bag, so when he looked in the bag, he could only see the toilet paper.

There's something about that pole, but I don't think it's magnetic. Hmmm...how exactly did he get home? Did he fly a plane and had to bump that metal pole at the airport security gate? Did security there xray his bag at that point and confiscate these items? I'm curious to know the correct answer too.

Because there was a hole in the bag where the paperclips could fall out and the batteries and the toilet paper could not have fallen out out because...yeah.

The bag is a plastic mesh bag with holes and the metal pole he bumped into was magnetic. Nothing fell because it stuck

The paperclips were magnetically attracted to the battery, and they slid inside the barrel of the toilet paper roll.
