The best brand is one that will house your very best friend and her horse. Ask her for the kind she would like and make sure it is one that suits her horse also. You need it to be a three horse trailer, just in case your husband wants to go also.

RE:
Best brand of horse trailers?
Considering a horse trailer with living quarters. Need horse trailer owners' opinions on good brands to buy, but not too pricey.

I was recently at a dressage show in Auburn, and there were many vendors, including horse trailers. There was one trailer by Circle J that had living quarters, and it was nice, so maybe that's a brand to consider.
My trainer has a Charmac Elite and really likes it. It's a very nice trailer! It was custom made, and has a tack room, but she sleeps in the gooseneck part. It easily and comfortably fits two people.
Good luck!

I have shown horses over 20 years, and have every type of trailer you can imagine. The best trailer i have had (and still have!) is a Gore Trailer. It has held up well, it extremely safe and easy to pull and I didnt have to mortage my house to buy it. It does have living quarters, too.
I bought it used. You dont have to buy it new-but if you buy used, get it checked out by a trailer repair to make sure everything is OK!

I know for sure featherlite is nice... but pricey too. sooner is another good brand. sundown advertises everywhere, so they must be pretty good to make so much money. featherlite and sooner are nicer because I think they have something like 2 bars structurally instead of one so they are safer and will last longer. aluminum trailers are the lightest, so go for one of those. steel will rust badly and is heavy, but is a little cheaper. definetly do not get an aluminum/steel mix! it will be very disastrous.

Featherlight is great, no doubt there, but several of my friends with lq trailers really like Trails West.
