Ok so I've got 4 computers on a home network...
I thought it would be possible to access one computer's desktop from another computer using remote desktop but I can't get it to work...
When I search for a computer to connect to it says the WORK-OFFICE domain/workgroup does not contain any Terminal servers...
How do I make a computer into a terminal server? or is there another way to do it?
I'm sure it must be possible...
PS: The computer i'm trying to connect to is enabled to accept remote access... I think!

Do not use VNC, is risky. Free version does not encrypt transmission. Be smart ... use professional tools instead.

You should install Terminal Services (if you're using Windows 2000/2003) in remote admin. mode. For XP i think it is already installed. Then, from an XP or Windows 2003 server you can connect to this server using RDP protocol. If you're having problems, check your DNS settings (can you ping name and IP?) and block ports on firewall. RDP uses port 3389. Also, you need to accept connections in the client or server. Go to My Computer>Properties>Remote

Hope this help.

Most important is that the computer that you want to access is running Microsoft XP Professional. the teminal server is the pc running Pro. Other pc's on the network can access the server pc but not visa-versa.

Why not just download VNC. Go on to the web and search for VNC look for VNC 3.3.7 install this on all computer and as long as you have the ip address you can access the desktop from any computer; easy to install and use and better than remote desktop. well i think so. have a look.

ok for a quick answer, use MSN Messenger remote access, it easy and quick to setup. I cant see any problem with that as long as your computer are set up to share access. Good luck eh :O)
