Is it just me or do the new songs sound way too similar to the old stuff. What do you think?

Well I read this article in Rolling Stone mag. that the album wasn't supposed to be anything ground breaking or different from their style. It's more like an album of the band just playing what they do the best. I think it's an awesome album and I don't think it sounds the same. But hey, that's just me. But The Red Hot Chili Peppers rock no matter what.

I actually agree with you, even though I really like the Chili Peppers.
They're my boyfriend's favorite band, and he kinda refuses to accept the fact that certain songs sound like other songs from their more recent albums.
Oh well. At least you agree with me!
PS I just saw them for the fourth time (at Lollapalooza) and they were awesome, so I guess I really can't complain. : )

a few songs sound like the old stuff. theres nothing wrong with a little funk rock

i dno, I dont think Stadium Arcadium is that great. Lots of the songs all are relaxed and laid back, like 'if' and 'stadium arcadium',
but there isnt a lot of energy like on higher ground and give it away
