The exact value of the book would depend on what condition the book is in, what the quality of the book was to begin with, and - most importantly - how rare it is (ie: how many copies of that book were made and how many are still around).

Even in the 1920s, the Grand Canyon was a popular tourist destination and Fred Harvey sold a number of books and other souvenirs many of which are still floating around antique bookstores. I am neither a collector nor a dealer, but I have seen a number of 1920s-30s tourist books for sale from time to time and most have sold in the $30 - $150 range. Five Quail Books (see URL below) is an Arizona book dealer that specializes in books about the Grand Canyon area - they could probably give you a better estimate.

As other posters have mentioned, it seemed to mean a great deal to your Grandmother and its greatest value is probably the memories it tells for you and your family. If it were me, I would hold on to it.

You wonder if value was the reason your grandmother loved the book . Didn't anyone ever ask grandma? Sounds like no one finds the book as precious as grandma did. That is sad ending for an heirloom.
Here are a couple of suggestions to find out its value:
Google it as if you are looking for it yourself. You will get an idea of its worth. You could also check with the Library of Congress. They are willing to help with many, if not all, searches for knowledge.
