Given the ever increasing rate of deterioration to the environment, it is highly probable that most, if not all, of humanity will be extinct within the next two hundred years. This is much more likely than a comet hitting the earth within the same time period. Therefore, humanity will die off long before a comet has a chance to hit this planet.

Yes a comet will eventually hit the Earth, just as they have done for billions of years.
Yes, we will all die. Someday.
Some of us sooner than others.
Those two facts, however, are not directly linked.
If a large comet were to strike the earth, it may kill upwards of a million people maybe even a billion, depending how large it was and where it struck.
There would be large disruptions to the global economy (think hurricane level damage only more so)
But the human race would endure.
If this was not true, then one of the previous millions of asteroid and comet strikes would have wiped out all life already.
And this all assumes that we don't see it coming and take no steps to save ourselves....

Yes, it is certainly possible. And a comet hit Jupiter in 1994 as if to remind us of that possiblity. However, as for as the coment killing human race..well it seems there are lots of other things which might finish of human race before any comet might hit us. As technology develops we may develop a way to avid being hit by a comet or an Astroid. But the real danger for human race rests in those areas like climate change where a long term collective change in our way of life is demanded. Our own attitude to focus only on short term and not having the discipline and political will to solve many of the global problems which require sustanied international effort is in my opinion the greater threat.

Ever is a long time.
Shortly (probably less than 20 years), the world will have a planetary defense system that will be able to move comets and meteors out of Earth's way.
Why don't you study engineering or physics and help them?

It's hard to predict for comets. But sooner or later an asteroid certainly will hit Earth. See below for the official list of close approaches by potentially hazardous asteroids (PHA).

Yes... it is totally possible. As a matter of fact, that's what they think killed the dinosaurs.
The Shoemaker-Levy comet that struck Jupiter in 1992 left destruction patterns that spanned an area twice as large as Earth!!

It's pretty much a lead-pipe certainty that the Earth will be hit by something large and destructive sometime in the next few million years. As to whether or not is kills off the human race, who knows?

The answers are "yes" and "yes." A celestial object will hit the earth, and we will all die. Not a question of "whether" but "when."
And God has nothing to do with it. To all God-sayers: remember that whoever you are, somebody, somewhere is praying that you will die. If you are a christian, there are muslims praying that god will strike you dead. If you are a muslim, there are christians in South Carolina devoutly praying that god will strike you dead.
There are people praying that Israel will overcome Palestine, and equally wise and devout people praying that Palestine will overcome Israel. And so on ad infinitum. So there is no logic in prayer for these things.
If praying that God will heal your sick loved one makes you feel better (it certainly does me!) then please pray for that. But don't ask God to protect us from celestial objects. The wind bloweth where it listeth. Isaiah 55

The dream is a caution from God to maintain on the alert, be full of the spirit. The e book of Acts 2:17-21 tells us in basic terms about all those activities will happen. Christians get concentrated on subject matters diverse than Christ at circumstances. God will provide us targets to get our interest shrink back on Him. Pray suited to the dream and the human beings who you believe you studied in the dream besides.
