I NEVER thought I'd do that! I just got into country music a few years back. (I liked hip-hop and alternative rock before; still do.) She was telling me how good the new Trace Adkins was. And I was likes, "Hmm, I need to go get that." I'm 32, and I'm feeling OLD now!

So do you take your mom's advice when it comes to CDs? And if you do, how old are you?

No I don't take CD advice from my mom...I'm 36. However I just took my son to his frist concert for his 16th birthday...Talk about old and out of touch...Take a 16 year old to a KORN concert! That makes you old in a hurry!!

I always take my mother's advice in music and everything else or at least I try most of the time. When my mom gets a CD we always burned it for all three of us My older sister 26, my younger sister 20, and me 22. Sometimes when we break up with a guy my mom takes us to the music store and we buy atleast two CDs while we spend a couple of hours listening to music. We spend a great time together. You should try it when your depress or stressed out it really works and you are bonding with your mother which is truly your best friend.

I'm 41 and a musician and my taste in music is pretty varied. However, my mom is stuck in music that is so "easy listening" that I can't handle listening to it for very long. You know, the really lite adult contemporary stuff... nothing really rock, alternative, hip-hop or anything slightly on the harder side. It says alot to mention that her favorite recording artist is Enya... a new-age style recording artist and lovely lady whose talent I appreciate and whose music I love, but is not the beginning or the end of my musical world.
Now, my dad is another story....

Not a hope. My mom hasn't got a that bad a taste in music or anything, but once she finds a song she likes, she plays it in the kitchen over and over and OVER again until I hate it. And I'm 15.

26, and right about half the time. I'm more into my dad's style of music, but mom comes up with some good ones every now and again.

um, i don't really buy CDs, I prefer to buy songs off of iTunes, but the songs that I buy my mom usually likes. So we have that in common. I'm not sure thats considered the same thing as advice, but whatever. So, in a way I guess I take "advice" and I'm 15.

No. But her record collection kicks butt. I ruined half of them playing them on my little record player when I was real young. Scratches? Those were there already!

Talking about vinyl here, no need to give my age.
