The best way to get junk out of your pores is to steam them. Take a boiling pot and fill it with about 3-4 quarts of water. Let the water come to a boil and then remove from heat. When I do this, I sit at my kitchen table so get a pot holder for the boiling pot. Add 15-20 drops of pure tea tree oil (a natural germicide and pain reliever) and stir. Take the pot and set it on your table where you can safely put your face over it without being burned. Put a towel over your head to trap the steam from the pot. The steam will help enlarge your pores so the dirt and grime will come out. It can get really hot under the towel so every few seconds I lift it up to release built up heat. Do this for 15-20 minutes or until the water stops steaming. Your face will be dripping the whole time, let it run do not dry your face-it's the dirt and oil coming out. After 15 mins go to the bathroom and look at your face. If there are still black heads anywhere gently apply pressure to squeeze out the grime--because your pores are completely open it should pop right out. After that wash your face with a cloth and NO SOAP, just water. If you use soap you will just reclog your pores because they are wide open from the steam, ready to catch anything on your face. Pat your face dry and apply alcohol and sulfur with a q-tip (the powdered kind) to any remaining blemishes. Keep the sulfur on the spots overnight and you wil see a dramatic difference in the morning. Also, if you pluck your eyebrows it is best to do it after a long steam because the hairs will come out much easier-almost painlessly. Good luck!

Steam your face and squeeze them out, it's what they would do at a spa for a facial. Use an astringent after to clean them out good and close up the pore. Your body treats the plug as a foriegn agent and tries to push it out itself. It's like a splinter, you would pull that out wouldn't you?

I've heard they can be removed professionally, but it's expensive. I think I read this in a magazine, unfortunately I cannot remember which one. You could try buying a blachead remover, like the one featured in a recent issue of Avon. Do no try removing them yourself with tweezers or anything. Pressure needs to be applied from all sides to remove it, not make it go further into your skin.

I used to have the same problem. I found that pore refining masks help after you wash your face. The face wash i used was proactive. The refining mask helps because it makes them less noticable until the face wash clears them away.

Wash your HANDS - bacteria on the hands (and dirt) gets into the pores and clogs them.

There's also prescriptions that work both outside and in - that will help.

As for me, in addition to the above, I used to just scratch the tops off, or pop them when I was younger.

if you are a teenager, you are bound to get a lot of spots as it is just hormonal. try putting some boling water into a bowl, and put your face into the steam (not into the actual water!) this will open your pores and make it easier for you to squeeze the spots out. when you squeeze them, make sure you get all of the spot out, or it will just come back and be a lot bigger!

Strydex pads worked for me. The ones in the jar with the green label. I use them every other day and I have no more blemishes.
They have no alcohol in them either so they don't dry out your skin.
Hope this helps and have a great day!!!

The best solution is for you to get two tissue papers. wrap em around 2 fingers, and squeeze them out! wash and rinse with cold water after so your pours will re-close.
