A gold, diamond and emerald pinky ring to my sister-in-law. I was dating my husband at the time and his sister went through a devasting break-up of her engagement. She had already been divorced once, and she thought this was the end for her. I had the ring made years before when a previous engagement of mine ended. I had the jeweler melt down the gold from my engagement ring into a nugget, and I put in a diamond chip as a remembrance of the engagement and an emerald -- my birthstone -- as a symbol that I would have another chance at a happy life. As I had started dating her brother seriously, I no longer wore the ring. I gave it to her to symbolize that she could find love again. I don't regret it. She fell in love a couple years later and now has a beatiful son.

A microscope.
Why: A friend of mine lives over 20 miles away from the campus
and because she has a son and works full time, she can not stay after classes to use the mircoscopes at student center building. And with today's gas prices it simply isn't feasible to drive back to the campus more than once a day.
Regrets: No, because she helped me get through two very difficult chemistry classes. And thanks to her, I do not have to pay another $960 to retake the classes.

My car it was brand new and I only had just finished paying it off. I gave it to my mom when I got my cougar the only regret I had that she was in an accident a month later and the car was a total loss. But I was grateful she was not hurt now I'm think of getting her a truck. Yes I have a good job and it pays well. and I no longer have my cougar I have a 2006 black grand am and I love it.

I've given away a car at a fraction of the price to someone who was struggling financially. I could have gotten about 4 times the price i sold it at, but decided to let it go for somebody who really needed it.
Regrets? no, if u hadn't asked me, i wouldn't have even thought of it. I keep moving on, life is too precious to keep tinkering about the past. Even if it was a mistake and that person lied to me about his financial condition, it's a done deal now. My intention was good, and I so why fret over it?
But mostly, i volunteer my time to help people who need it. Time is precious in my dictionary.
