i was by the doctor few times now, he told me i have depression illness, that always comes back in periods, the guy is totally right, i can remember myself as a kid who was so unhappy, alone without friends, not that the kids around me never liked me, they did contact were nice and so but it was my parents, especially my father who did not like it me to be with others, because he said he did not want me to take what he saw negative from my peers,
i accept now that i have depression, and i take lots of pills and drugs, but i donot know, how can i become happier, since the doctor have said it needs lots of time and years to heal something like this,
i donot live with my family anymore, and that for good,
i feel myself better since i moved out, and live in a different city, i would like to hear from people who had the same problem,

I understand what you're going through. My whole family suffers from depression and it is hard when you are trying to be a happier person and your family is bringing you down. I just try different things to get rid of my sadness and frustration. It is important to release your emotions in a healthy way. I have found that exercising and painting are really relaxing to me. You just have to try out different things to find out what works for you. Just hang in there! Good luck!!

I have the same problem. The doctor told me to take depression pills. Guess what? I haven't taken any. I know I am suppose to but I don't want to end up needing them all the time. Another thing is that depression pills screw you up. They really don't help much. I decided that I have to get threw this on my own. My friend suffers from depression to but she stopped taking the pills because they made her worse and she was tired all of the time with them. You have to get threw this on your own. I know it is hard, I am trying to get threw this to. I take it one step at a time. What suxs is that I am living with my parents and they just bring me down, but you know what I prove them wrong everyday. They didn't think I was going to ever finish High School and I did graduate with my class 2006 in May 31. I am always tired but today I run around the block tomorrow I will run more this time. I also have a goal that I want to accomplish so I just think of that and that motivates me. I have no one to help me threw this but myself. Just remember that everyone suffers, Not just you, Everyone! It is part of life but if others can get threw it than so can you. You can help people in need that would make you feel better. Try it. Others have it worse than you most of all in other countries so just think how lucky you are to not be them. You can do this. Go show the world what you are made of.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. My situation was very similar, in fact almost identical. Now I'm 42 and haven't tried to kill myself for 2 years. I realise how the depression comes and goes, but I will never really be a happy bunny even when I am well. I just accept that I'm not a very happy person and find pleasure and contentment where I can (that sounds a bit dodgy but isn't meant to) I decided to have an interesting life instead - I teach abroad, Iv'e recently come back from uzbekistan and am off to Uganda next week. Please e-mail me if you like, I'd be happy (or as happy as I can be - haha) to talk. Good luck.

True happiness can only be found in the Lord Jesus.

MATTHEW 11
29 Take my YOKE upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my YOKE is easy, and my burden is light.
