Why do people post medical questions on here??

Question

If there is blood coming out of any part of your body, you have a fever, feel faint or want to kill yourself, is Yahoo Answers the right venue to seek what the problem could be? I thought it would be going to see a professional, but with all the medical questions, I see that I'm wrong. What do you guys think?

I agree with you. Some Health issues should be checked out by a professional. I don't think Yahoo! Answers is the best place to direct serious medical problems.

I think that some people are looking for a cheaper way to find answers to their health problems. However; if it is serious cheaper isn't better.

For those who cannot afford to seek professional help at least they have someone to talk to and get some advice.

Sometimes it's easier to ask anonymously people you don't and you don't see some questions about things you feel embarrassed to ask a person directly face to face.

Second in the US you must pay the physician even for a simple question. And not everyone has the money to do so. That is a great problem but you can't solve it especially when you need an answer.

And there are often problems you can't ask your friends because you're embarrassed to do so, especially if your question is delicate.

I admit this is NOT the right place to ask questions about potentially deadly diseases but it is better to have at least ONE possible person to ask than to have no one you can ask. It is better to read that 10 people say to you that you should see a doctor than to have no one to say that to you !

And sometimes there are some good tips for to find, even here. :o) So, why don't you give it a try and ask a question about your problem ? :o)
