Hello, eye doc here. First of all, wearing contacts for weeks at a time, bad. That aside, wearing contacts doesn't cause floaters although aging does. The inside of your eye is like a jelly and floaters happen simply when some of that jelly forms a clump you can see.
They are harmless themselves (albeit annoying as hell) but they can be a sign of a retinal hole or detatchment if they are accompanied by an increase in flashes of light. If your worried about it see an eye doctor, they can look in your eye an rule out any problems. Hope this helped, take care.

Sure can, I get them too. They are actually the white part of your eye swelling. Mine do the same thing. There are drops that your eye doctor can give you to help.

They can give you an eye infection just like i got. It took months of eye drops and eye creams to make it better

I don't know who told you it was ok to wear them weeks at a time! Your eyes need oxygen...you need to give them a break more than that!! Ask your doctor!
