It seems that when you state a fact, people start taking offense and telling you that you are the one with the problem. I don't think that my not wanting to give up my rights to people who have made wrong decisions in their lives (ate too much and got fat, had too many children and live off the government, and all these whiny people who think they shouldn't have to go by the rules is much to ask. Why do people make excuses for people? Why is every bad choice that people make a "disease"? I had an aunt that weighed 300 and had over 20 surgeries and multiple health problems like diabetes, thyroid and all that stuff but she got off her butt and stopped eating all that junk that made her that way and now she is under 120 lbs and 80 years old! Proof that cutting out the junk food and getting off your lazy butt will help.

Part of it is that the truth hurts their self-image. I agree with you that mostly it's our own decisions that mainly shape our path in life (I lost a wife to a brain tumor and a daughter to a very rare disease named after me so I can't say that all of them are my fault). People are looking to have someone institutionalize their rationalizations (big Government, Welfare society, etc.) This happened right after the Great Depression when people broke up their families and started moving into the cities big-time. All you and I can do is fight against that and stand up and become the new "majority" of resposible, accountable people, and if some people can't take our stance, we must just learn to deal with it and better ourselves despite the criticism - because as a famous person once said: "If you can't do it, teach it; and if you can't do that then become a critic." This brings us to the are of "political-correctness". You may not be old enough to remember, but Nick the Greek, a foremost gambling expert was fired from a national TV show for stating that in some cases certain African-Americans had better physiques and muscle/fat percentages/feet designed better, etc., than certain Whites. To me it is a simple truth that "some" Blacks MUST be better than "some" Whites - how could that NOT be true? But instead of seeing the logic in this, he was punished by the network. Just realize (and I am not going to tell you what side I'm on) that many people today are losing and have lost friends over the War due to intolerance of the other's opinion, even though one of them may be a lot closer than the other to the way things actually are. This is because most people cannot admit that the whole thrust of their political viewpoint is so off-base it's pathetic. So what that would say is that as a society we are so mixed up half of us can't see a rattlesnake and recognize it for what it is. So sometimes it is better to just clam up in certain cases like that; but in the weight thing avoiding the truth about oneself is a great mistake that will hurt a person's happiness and true path.

First of all nothing you said has been factual only narrow-minded opinions. I couldn't help but reply to this one after reading your previous post where you said you were in debt over 27,000 dollars with credit cards. What in the world makes you think that borrowing money from a credit card company, that you obviously do not make enough to pay back, makes you any better than someone "living off the government". You just found a way around it...that's all. You really need to stop posting such hateful and ignorant questions....which in my opinion aren't even questions, but just mindless complaining.

Maybe it's the way you present the truth, like it's an insult. Try being a bit more sensitive. We could just say, "Hey, you're a jerk. Shut the hell up and get your fat butt off the net." But we won't. We'll just politely ignore you from now on until you get the hint.

So, how exactly are fat people and deadbeats are taking your rights away?

You seem a bit judgemental and intolerant. Perhaps people are trying to tell you that you are offensive.

You might try phrasing things differently. For example, the getting off your lazy butt comment won't make anyone feel good about you.

Facts are proven............... other wise they are only opinions........ be sure of your facts before you open your mouth and prove yourself ignorant.
