I've had it done over a month ago (in London, though) and do not regret it for one second. Your eyes are very important, so do think carefully about it. Remember that there are never 100% guarantees with any surgical procedures.

Last year my daughter (21) had a severe eye infection which left scar tissue over her iris (she is also very short sighted.) She asked the consultant if he recommended laser surgery and he categorically told her never to consider it because the long term prognosis is not yet known - and he is the laser surgeon who does these very operations in the local private hospital! So be very careful and think about whether you really want to do this.

A laser surgeon has a job to do like anybody, just trust him and get the job done. The very best surgeon has bad days and so it's up to you to take the risk and get it done. If you start checking things you will never get it done. Just get on with it, the surgeon has done the job many times and knows his job. Just go for it.

Check how many eye doctors are wearing glasses. German airlines Lufthansa do not employ pilots, if they had laser eyes surgery. 29 % of all operated people (in Germany) experience some problems.Think about that.

Google his name. If nothing pops up he hasn't killed anybody. Just ask the patient next to her that is back for the post op check up and see how things went.
