that you're able to get more open, honest, candid answers to your questions on "Yahoo Answers" than you would if you asked these same questions in real life? Why or why not?

As in, are you able to get closer to people via Yahoo Answers in a way that you wouldn't in life?

probably. There is a comfort in anyonimity. YOu don't know me you don't know what to expect from me and if I answer differently than normal you don't know that. I can give you a real opion and not feel vulnerable.

yes, the pressure is off...
the knowing of someone personal also play into as a factor...
sometimes you can give an open an honest answer to the best of your knowlegde.... without being judgmental...
if the question is answered with maturity...

i think my answer would be yes.
the answer are more open, honest and candid because people dont have to feel bad if what they say might be offending. they dont have to feel guilty if their answer hurt the feelings of the asker. also, no one in the website can critisize them for being who they are.
if you asked the same question in real life to people you know, they might hide their true answer if they think you will be offended by it..

most people play jokes on here and dont' take others seriously and some do. some make fun of others and vise versa. its life
they dont know u here nor do they care to know you here. and in life the people you ask could tell if you ment it or not. and are more likely to give you an honest opinion.

Yes. I don't know you, you don't know me. I can give my honest opinion and not worry that someone will hate me for it. There is less need to sugarcoat I guess.
