My husband and I had been married for 3 years and he was working as an ATM tech(putting money in the ATM) and he got so stressed('cause of the 60+hrs every week and the bullet proof vest and gun and being responsible for so much money) that after getting seriously sick twice in 2 years he had to quit. The doctor told him if he got sick again he would probably die. We were living in Dallas, TX at the time. We moved to East Texas where it is cheaper to live. We both had to work at Walmart. Trust me it is not an adults first choice. We were there 6 months and he got his CDL and we quit. It's a living. Not much money but better than welfare. Walmart probably hires adults first because they will be at work everyday because they don't have mom and dad to fall back on. They have bills to pay.

Dont take out the fact that U cant get a job on other people. People work where they feel like working no matter what U have to say about it. So many adults also work in a lot of other places, Okay?!

With Walmart you start in entry level possition and move up thru the ranks. I have heard that in time with raises and stock it pays much better than most think...
Georgia? Mmmm Don't know maybe your trying to start at the top and work down... Everyone has to start somewhere and usually its a lower position and less pay than you might want...
Good luck

Maybe they need the additional income/benefits...Something to do since they no longer have small children at home..Maybe they are retired and got bored..Or maybe it's a conspiracy...Just think...all the grown up cashiers deciding that they are going to plot against you so you can't get a job..Hmmmm.....

Many adults work at Wal-Mart because this company treats all employees well, whether they clean floors or tell others what to do (as a manager).
No one is considered superior to another.
I worked for Wal~Mart for a long time and it is (or at least was) one of the best company's to work for on any level.

there's something called aptitude in each human being... basically it's your potential in life... some people have a higher aptitude to learning and being able to accomplish great things in life such as doctors, scientists, and athletes and others are meant to be cashiers, custodians, and shark suit testers... not everyone can be what they want, only what their aptitude allows them.

I noticed that myself and I do think it's odd but I don't know the answer to it, though.
