Dilithium!
Point of trivia: in the old Star Trek series Spock shows off a "burned out" Dilithium Crystal. The rock he is holding is actually Smoky Quartz, which is definitely a nice crystal and one that we used to find in the dirt around the countryside where I grew up.
Thus, for two reasons, smoky quartz and quartz crystals in general have a special place in my heart.

Hi. Herkimer diamonds. They're made of quartz and have 18 sides without being "cut" like a carbon diamond.

Perhaps it is that microcline crystal I found, or maybe it is that arfedsonite crystal I found.
