Yes, but only if you are trying to make a statement, and I would only use that with chucks or flip flops. For example, if you were going to an art convention, you could consider yourself walking art (with the right outfit, has to be kooky) Howevever, there are obviously some situations in which you should never wear that. You have to judge for yourself what is appropriate or not!

go ahead as long it really does look cool. My friend goes to a private school and she has to wear a uniform but she could wear any shoes she wants so she ended up wearing one red chuck and one green chuck.

genuinely certain I did.. I wore a blue communicate shoe and then a white one. yet i did that on purpose to be goofy. and that i have been given too a lot interest. yet I didnt care what people imagine because as long as I genuinely have shoes on it doesnt count number what people imagine!

yah just wear it with a colorful long shirt or tank with a colorful matching belt and skinny jeans or leggings and a skirt
