i wouldn't say they had no passion or skill. certainly this wasn't their best game, but no one goes into a FINAL and decides to stop caring. and they only played long balls and took shots from far out distances because they became desperate since the clock was running out. they barely got the ball to their forwards, so when they had the chance, they took the shot even if it wasn't that cautious to do so. but i agree with you that they were not playing the way that is typical to the German NT. @ Red-Chrome, nothing was fixed. the media was just saying Spain would win because they have been better than the Germans in this tournament, clear and simple. the Spanish NT had done so many things that previous Spanish NTs couldn't, and that's why odds were in their favour 1. Spain was the only team in Euro 08 to have won all their games 2. they were on a 21 winning streak. 3. they have a better defense in comparison to the Germans 4. they had broken all their supposed "curses" like the 22/06 curse, quarter-final curse, and the yellow curse. anyone who has followed the Spanish NT from the beginning will clearly agree that they have played more attractive football, and therefore have been favoured over Germany to win. just because Germany played badly yesterday doesn't make Spain's victory any less deserved.
