Would a cortisone shot help my elbows? I have had golfer's elbow (tendinidous) in one of them for over a year.

A cortisone shot could help you depending. Have you stopped the activity that caused your golfer's elbow? If you haven't stopped that, it's just going to keep coming back.

I've had a couple and they do help but they hurt a lot when you get them

Yes, probably for a short time it would. You need to be wearing a support brace below that elbow and taking anti-inflammatories(aspirin and ibuprophen with food). Resting the arm would help also.

it will make you feel better but it will also put a lot of weight on you that is hard to get off

my mom got one in her knee and it hurt really bad to get it and that day but now her knee is alot better
