all tests are pretty much the same and not effective until you have missed a period. The fasted and earliest way is through a blood test at your dr. Yes it is confidental, although in some areas you do need parental consent if under certain ages. The effects of abortion are different for each person. Some women have no after affects, some get infections, and some may not be able to have children. Although abortions are pretty common. They are more emotionally devastating for some. Health care covers abortion sometimes as well as there should be some pregancy clinincs in your area that are free and give you all the information that is needed to make the right decision for you and the unborn. Playing adult games mean paying the adult price. Be cautious and careful when making this decision as it will effect you for the rest of your life either way. Good luck

im only 16 too. i found out i was pregnant in june. u have 2 tell your parents trust me they will help u i didnt tell my parents they found my prenatal vitamins. they will be mad/dissapointed only for a little bit. go to a clinic to get a pregnancy test u can get a blood test if u dont want 2 wait a month. i had an abortion july 7th because my parents made me because the dad didnt want anything to do with it. please dont get an abortion u will regret it and be depressed and cry almost everyday or when u hear some1 talking about abortion. that was the worst experience i have ever gone threw. i still cry about it. but if u want to know about abortions the effects of it well i already said u will be depressed but since ur 16 ur not ready to become a parent and u can have a good life and have children later in life when your ready. the type i got was the suction one where they use a vacuum type thing. it cost around 400 or 500 dollars. it depends how far along u are. but i just advice u that it was the worst experience of my life and most people that got one have said they regret it. u can always have it and give it up for adoption to a loving family that might not be able to have kids.

Well, the earliest tests can only predict five days before your period.
If you're nervous, go to Planned Parenthood ASAP and you will be given Plan B- it's a set of two pills that will help reduce your risk of pregnancy, up to 88% I believe. You have to do this as soon as possible, because the longer you wait, the less effective the pills are.
Planned Parenthood will be free of charge to you if you are a student, and completely confidential. You can even give them a different name, if you want.
If you do get pregnant, and need an abortion, the confidentiality will most likely protect your parents from being informed, but there are a couple states where physicians have to inform parents or guardians.
Again, an abortion would cost slim to nothing for you, as a minor.

You can't take a test until around when you are due for your period. Therefore I would suggest calling your local Planned Parenthood or similar organization and speaking with them. If it just happened they can give you the morning after pill. However, if you do wind up being pregnant give an abortion a lot of thought. It is something you must live with all your life. If you are underage your parents will have to give permission for you to have one. If you are over 18, the choice is yours. Costs vary, but several years ago they were over $300, so my guess is they are still that much if not more. Hope this helps you out some. First step, go talk to a counselor!!

Okay the first thing you need to know is that you need to stop panicing. The next thing is if you are going to have an abortion you will have to wait until your 7 weeks pregnant before they will do one anyway. If you go to a reputable abortion clinic you should have no problems. However some women have been damaged inside and can no longer have children because of this. So be careful and find a good doctor. Prices: $100 - $600 some even higher.

Yes, get the morning after pill, it's also called "Plan B" or emergency contraceptive. I think if you go to planned parenthood they won't ask for your parent's permission, but call ahead to find out because you do only have 72 hrs for this to be effective.
Also, don't let anyone make you feel bad if you do get Plan B, it's NOT an abortion, it's a high dose of birth control that stops/delays ovulation, thus preventing pregnancy. Some anti-abortionists make this sound like an abortion, but it's not!
Good luck, and use spermicide, or another "back-up" method in the future in case another condom breaks.

You can read information about the different pregnancy tests available here:

You will not be able to get an accurate result until at the very earliest a few days before your period is due. You can get free, completely confidential pregnancy tests at a pregnancy care center in your area. You can find one near you here:

Advice on Telling Parents About a Pregnancy:
http://lifehouse.glorifyjesus.com/questions/pregnancy/tellingparents.html
Some people may advise you to call abortion facilities for information. Please keep in mind that people who make millions of dollars every year SELLING abortion are not going to provide you with the most unbiased information! Also, there are people on Yahoo Answers who are dealing with unresolved guilt regarding the abortion of their own children. These people tend to lash out emotionally and try to justify what they did by encouraging others to do the same. The most important thing for you to do right now is put all the opinions aside and get the facts.
Please keep in mind that if you are against abortion, you will suffer regret for the rest of your life if you allow someone to hurt your baby. You are stronger than you think you are. You can do the right thing. If you are pregnant, you are a parent now, too, and your first responsibility is to your child, not to your mother and father. Yes, they will be upset for a little while, but most parents come around and support their child and adore their grandchild. You may be surprised at how well everything can work out.
If you are not pregnant, please resolve to avoid this anxiety next month and save the sex for marriage, okay?

Since you had sex today you can go to the local health department, or planned parenthood and get the Morning After Pill. It will work up to 72 hours to prevent pregnancy. And it's not getting an abortion. You need to do it IMMEDIATELY or you will be in the position to make a much more life altering choice. In the future I would suggest you get on another form of birth control. You can get it at the same clinic as the morning after pill. And trust me, telling your parents about this now, will be a lot better than having to tell them that you ARE pregnant and don't know what to do.

This is your choice, with the help of your parents if they are reasonable people. It they are nutty, you must make this decision with the help of another adult. Perhaps a social worker or court can help if your parents are nuts. A nut in this situation is a person that thinks abortion is murder and would never consider that they may be wrong. There are so many lies out there that you must consider all information as suspect until you investigate it with the help of an open minded adult.
Abortion may be wrong for you physically and mentally. However, I suspect that you should strongly consider abortion. I can not advise you of what you should do without information that is not available over the internet. I would steer clear of any advice that does not offer unbiased opinion in both the pro and anti abortion positions.
----The following is my spin on the issue ----
Some things about abortion are clear on face value. Those things are that abortion was invented by God in the form of miscarriage. Depending on which God you believe in, abortion can be murder or it can simply be like cutting your nails or washing the dead skin off your body. If you believe in Christ, then you will believe in a God that does not Kill in abortion. Christ simply takes the life of the aborted fetus and uses it again at a later date. There is no murder or death.
If you choose to believe in the god of the pro life movement then an abortion is murder and you will be expected to applaud the bombing of clinics, killing of doctors and harassment of women.
