implantion bleeding is usually just spotting that lasts 1-2 days in a row. implantation generally occurs about 7-10 days after conception. If you are on the pill it's more likely that it is what is called breakthrough bleeding from your pills..

Implantation bleeding You may have very scant "implantation bleeding," possibly around 11 or 12 days after fertilization (close to the time you might notice a missed period). It may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the wall of your uterus — a process that starts just six days after fertilization — but no one knows for sure. The bleeding is very light, lasting only a day or two, and only a minority of pregnant women have this kind of spotting at all.

Implantation bleeding can occur as early as the egg implants and can continue throughout. If you are on the pill and never missed it is unlikely that you are pregnant, as well as you could be experiencing break through bleeding meaning the pill is no longer strong enough. I had implantation bleeding with my 4th, it started at 4 weeks gestation and cleared itself by week 11. It can also be from slight spotting to actual bleeding, although if you are pregnant and going through more than a pad every hour definatly seek medical attention

From my own personal experience, my implantation bleeding was exactly 10 days after conception (so 13 days after we had sex). The bleeding lasted for one night for me and was very light pinkish. I used a pad but it didnt even go onto the pad, it was only there when I wiped after going pee. I didnt realyl knwo what was happening bc I was a week too early for my period and it was so stinking light. So I looked up implantation bleeding and come to find out, it happens 5-7 days prior to your period, and can last anywhere for jsut the one time spotting to 2 or 3 days like a light period. HOpe that helps you.

I got light bleeding (brown not red) about 4-5 days after ovulation and it lasted for 4 days and nothing around my period. I am 5 weeks pregnant.
