These type of women are in a profile, all there own. They are usually single mothers, 30 to 40 lbs. over weight and very lonely. When they start communicating with convicts, the convict will feel the fish on the line. He will write to her and fill her little lonely head with all the right answers and swoon her off of her pink fluffy house slippers. You must understand, the convict has 24 hours of the day to swoon this ol gal off her feet. Next thing you know he will be asking for money for his commissary and phone.
Convicts get good at this scam and sometimes run 4 to 5 lonely women and make good bucks.

In my opppinion, they are too thick headed to recognize the subtle signs of interests from decent men;
So they go for the loud & tastlessly interested, desperate, egotistical thugs.
They could also want them for being cruel to without feeling guilty over them not deserving it - because they do.
Then there's the "overpower me" madness.
Etc.
The world is either "mad", or "angry".

all of us but we all make mistakes people who have been in prison are human too, don't judge unless you want to be judged

never heard of this.
knowing my mother and grandmother, they would be scared to even talk to someone straight out of prison, much less date the guy.
