I have the option of staying 3 days, 4 days or 7days. I'll be flying in from Girona airport and probably staying at a hostel near the Rambles area.

As many days as you can! So, I would vote for seven! You can visit the main tourist attractions in less than seven days, of course, but it is not all you could see and do in Barcelona. Being there once, I am afraid you will even find seven days not enough :)

I'm from Barcelona. Stay as long as you can, you may have seen all touristic places in Barcelona City in 4 days but after you can enjoy normal life there or visit nice areas nearby. You can visit Montserrat, the Pyrinees, Girona, Figueres, and go to the beach. There are a lot of beaches around. The ones from Barcelona city are too crowded (they are ok, though) but you can go to Sitges, Castelldefels, down to Costa Dorada (Tarragona area) or up north to Costa Brava (Girona Area) where beaches are great. Public transport is cheap in Spain, much cheaper than in UK.

Ask for info once you are there and decide depending on the weather. Hope you have a great time!!!!!

stay everywhere the place there's a metro station close by. it extremely is speedy, sparkling, and low priced. it extremely is not un "exciting". Pickpockets are tremendously regular, exceedingly the place there are vacationers. they're extremely cunning. You DO desire to be careful. word, are not getting sloppy. exceedingly in crowds and touristy aspects. don't be scared! i don't be conscious of the place fukushima is... (Japan?) so i can not examine, yet Barcelona is the pickpockets' mecca in Europe. Navigating the city is easy. shop a tourist map reachable. Use the metro. The bus gadget is tremendously solid, too. in case your Eixample places are close to Placa de Espanya, flow with them...which will placed you very close to the Gothic quarter. extremely, nonetheless, it extremely is not that long a walk to the sea coast. you need to stroll the Ramblas, then spend an hour or 2 on the sea coast, then walk up the different element of the street...

3 or 4 days should be enuf for you to see the major attractions. When i went there they had these tourists bus (the bus # was 100) and it would stop by the 12-15 major attractions. U get get on one of those bus with a daily ticket (if i recall correctly was like $5) and get off at the attractions you like, visit them and then go back on the next bus (they run every 20 minutes or so) and pick your next attraction to see.
Enjoy it. barcelona is awesome

Stay 4... 3 is too little, and 7 is just too much.... I went for 5 days and it was too much... the fifth day I had nothing to do, so I'd go with 4

It depends on what the alternatives are, if you are going straight home after, then 7 days. If you are going to Athens then Istanbul after, then 3 days.

Check this out- if you stay too long, you'll probably run out of cash- and you will probably live in Barcelona from then on.
