Invite the whole group over for dinner and write each of them a letter telling them why they are special to you or thanking them for things they've done for you. If you're not open to the idea of cooking, order in!

How about having them all over for dinner/BBQ, etc...or taking them out to a restaurant or bar/grill, it doesn't have to be really exepensive but maybe just a favorite hangout that you guys mutually have....or is there a favorite group coming in concert to an outdoor ampitheatre that maybe you could spring for lawn tix??? Usually those run a little lower in cost and are much more maneagable money wise to be able to afford.....I think it's wonderful that your doing something like this to show your appreciation to the important people in your life!!!! They are very lucky to have you as a friend...you seem genuine!!!
Keep up the great attitude....we need more people in the world like you!!

Without anything in return?
Well...hmm. Just do stuff as you see it's needed for them. That helps a lot, and be careful that you're not just having an unmet need you'd like one of them (or someone else) to take care of. The motive sounds nice but unless you're someone with Asperger's or something, it sounds fishy.

Suprises are always good. Treat them to something nice, such as a dinner or an event. Maybe just a movie, just as long as you express your appreciation for their friendship.

You could make them all a mix CD with songs that remind you of fun times you've shared, or invite them all out for dinner and make a toast to their friendship...

Take them out to dinner, or a movie, or dinner and a movie.
Or- buy them a cd
Or- buy them a card and candy
Or- give them a few bucks each.
Blessings To You & Yours
