Why do 50s albums go 10 times platinum when his music aint that hot, and have u noticed how he beefs with other rappers to try sell more units, everyone 50 has beefed with has lyrically ****** up (apart from ja rule), 50 is a snitch, so why r all these hip pop fans on his d*ck? the massacre was the worst album i have ever heard.....its over 4 g unit....its g g g unot!

A lot of people say they would give .50 cent a dollar to shut up. I say that it's all about freedom of speech. However, the music industry is about marketing. Clearly he knows some good marketing people. He is reaching his target market and they are responding with enormous record sales. Maybe his fans can't afford a computer, cd burner and high speed internet to pirate his stuff so they just shell out the $8 for .50. There is no accounting for taste. I'm not a fan of his but I believe in freedom of speech.

Just a guess, but I think there are two reasons:
Eminem supports him and he is more attractive than some other rappers. Neither should make a difference, but the world is kind of a popularity contest and not always based on talent.

50 is crazy and is one of the rap game's biggest name. hes not that talented but he nevver gives up, hes a determined *****. and also hes got gunit which boost his sales. all in all theres twelve famous ****** in G unit and they can sell ****. Third fiddy gets his records heard from the radio overplayin them. thats how everyone noe hu he is
