I want to find part time work, maybe in the mall but most stores require people to be available at all mall hours
I applied for jobs at the food stores/markets but they only have graveyard shifts available, which I don't think I can handle it on top of having to go to school in the morning
can anyone give me some ideas?

I had a job at a coffee shop when I was in college. It was open until 11, so I would work when I got finished with classes.
You might consider some sort of work study at your college. It's not that much for pay, but it could be something. Also, if you have patience, you might see if any schools or daycares or the local YMCA, even, have an after school program. I did that in high school.

Bar, resturant work, some shops will have positions on Saturdays only (because it's their busiest day). I worked as a nursing assistant for agencys and the local hospitals nurse bank, you get to chose the shifts your available on a weekly basis, and weekend and night rates are very good. Try the student union, there will be bar, security and shop jobs and prob many more all with student friendly hours. You could also consider a full time job in the holidays, maybe you could afford not to work in term time then?

When I was in school I did all sorts of jobs that fit in. Here are some of them:
Pedi-cab driver
Research assistant (through the college)
Show announcer for an undersea adventure tourist attraction
Fast food (this is awful though)
Lab assistant (also through the college)
Most universities and colleges have a student employment centre that often has jobs specifically suited to students, so you could try that too.

Check with your college career center, check with unemployment to see what they have listed, also try checking with airlines at the airport near to you. They offer schedules 24 hours a day and are always looking for part time people to work for them. Try Target or Walmart, they are open later and can offer more shifts to work.

Your college career center should have part-time jobs on or off campus. Craigslist has a section for part-time jobs.
Take care of kids before or after school.
Contact local veterinarians & ask if you can put up signs in their
offices offering to pet-sit or walk dogs
