I am naming my daughter who is due Sept 21st, Addison Mae. What do you think of it? Addison is her dad's middle name and I thought it would be cute to call her Addie Mae, lol. I know tradionally Addison is a male name but so is Ashley and that is my name so I thought it would be fine. Tell me what you think of it, is it classy, strong, pretty.... On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest what would you rate it? Thanks!!!

I think it sounds really great, especially since she's partly named after her Daddy. It shows how much you love him). So enjoy that sweet baby, and know her name is a 10!

I give it a 10. I think it's really cute, and in my opinion, Addison, like Ashley, had pretty much become a female name.

Addie Mae is really cute, too. I've always liked the name Addie, ever since I read some books with a character who had the name. My name is Rebecca Maye, and everyone called me Becky Maye when I was little.

I do like Addison. I have a cousin who named his daughter that. However, since Madison got so popular, Addison is now very popular. And I see it more and mroe each day. Cute name, but if you dont want her to share a name with every other girl her age, may wanna think different.

I think that it is a cute name. Addison sounds like a unisex name to me. I could see it on a boy or a girl. Good Luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!!

Do you watch Grey's Anatomy? There is a female doctor on there who is Addison. I have always thought of it as a girl name. In fact there is a little boy at my church and his name is Addison and when I met him I thought that poor boy he has a girl name.... Please do not do that spell it different thing that one person suggested.. I have a niece that is Kailyn (notice not Kaitlyn that is so popular) Even in kindergarten she had to know that her name did not have a T because that is what everyone thought. Then I have a cousin that named her child Emaly..She also has to spell her name for people. Everyone wants to spell it differently. Not that my children are easy names but they are different and not that hard to spell...

Addison is OK, a pretty dignified sounding name, I'd rate it a 6.5. "Addie Mae" sounds like a pruny old lady name, I'd give that variation a 1.5.
