I found a big black spider in my bathroom the other day. I killed it, but want to have some line of defense against other pests. So I purchased a couple Venus Flytrap's online.

Those plants are very hard to care for. You would be better off just sticking to the old method of using the bottom of your shoe.

The flytrap will only eat it if the spider happens to crawl in, unlikely, right? In the mean time, they will starve.

overlook the Venus Flytrap. except you go with to seize the spiders and feed it. I have been given one some month in the past and that they seem to be a real discomfort interior the ***. it won't be ready to have potting soil or faucet water. It has to have bottled water. And humidity. and many solar. i've got finished distinctive those issues and mine has died lower back to a million/2 the dimensions of whilst i offered it.

they will close on anything that crosses their "lashes", including your finger. If a bug fits in it's "mouth" it will try to eat it. Gat a care pamlet, because they are hard to care for, they like a lot of humidity, etc.

Sure, why not? It might be harder though. And I doubt a spider would crawl right into one of those. Plant them EVERYWHERE! On the seiling! In your toilet!
