I need a detailed (well as much as possible) comparison of the two.

well I'm sorry I don't have time to tell in detail the differences, but for one, Real Player automatically plays a lot more file types then windows, I think that is probably the biggest difference, second are the options and functionality of the players....again, Real Player comes out on top verses Windows. While I do have both on my computer, I really prefer VLC media player over the two, but hey, everyone has their own opinion :)

Way to long to explain all the differences but I find that Windows Media crashes a lot less than Real Player

They are 2 different players, one has more options than the other, I like windows media player the best even though I have 3 players on my computer. Windows media player has no breaks in the sound when you are playing music, and it is easy to burn music from that site.

If you had state of the art antivirus program you would find that Real Player has an embedded trojan in their program. When you try to remove it the program will not run. (Ofcourse I removed the embedded spyware and removed the program).

So I stay with WMP which I don't care for that much. Atleast there is no trojan it their media player. (My antivirus systems traces the trojan back to a branch of the United States Army out of London England.
