Vaginal dryness is a sign of dehydration - pregnant or not pregnant.

When pregnant, babies take up an amazing amount of water to grow, and accumulate amniotic fluid. Continue to drink at least 8 - 8 oz of water every day and this shoudl help alleviate the problem.

Some women do get that way although most of us don't. It could be due to a hormonal change in your body. Also you need to wait until 2 weeks after you missed your period. However sometimes those home pregnancy tests don't work and you need to have a blood test to make sure whether or not you are pregnant. Most women are not that late unless they are pregnant.

I had the same problem, but mine lasted all through my pregnancy. My baby is 8 months old and I'm still a lot drier than I used to be.

But, please go to a doctor. Vaginal dryness can be caused by a variety of things, including diabeties. Better get checked out and make sure everything is ok. If you are pregnant, the sooner you know, the better, so you can start to take the "lovely" pre-natal vitamins (hello, constipation!) and get proper care.

Yup, it's normal. So is over lubrication. It's a hormonal change that takes place and it's not the same for everyone. Some women don't experience any of that. So even though you're dryer than normal, don't fret. Just use other means if it's making intercourse extremely difficult and painful. We found that AstroGlide is one of the better lubricants. Although it does get sticky, so you'll want to shower afterward. Good luck!!

Its possible. Any hormonal change can affect your lubrication. Just get a tube of K-Y until your body gets back to normal. It can also happen after birth.
If you want a suggestion, try to eat yogurt (like the fruit on the bottom that comes in little cups, not the ice cream kind) once a week or so. During pregnancy your body kinda goes crazy and all types of things can happen. I got my first yeast infection during pregnancy due to hormonal changes, so I always try to keep yogurt in my fridge now during pregnancy. Better safe that itchy!!
