ok not sure how this might work but here goes, if you fertilise an egg it takes 6-12 days to travel to the womb, what happens if your period is due before the egg gets to the womb??? does this flush the egg away or does the body no this and automatically stops the periods there and then??? sorry for my ignorance on this matter.

this can happen if a woman has something called a Luteal Phase Defect in where the space of time from ovulation to her period is too short, so she can concieve but loses the conception because her period starts before the baby can implant. In this case a medication called Clomid can extend the luteal phase (the part of the cycle from ovulation to menstration) and allow time for implantation to occur. a Luteal Phase of less than 10 days is considered a problem, most women are from 12-16 days.

Your period cannot be due before the egg reaches the womb, your period will only start when an unfertilized egg enters the womb. Obviously you won't get a period if the egg has been fertilized.

I have no idea, how it works, but basically an egg gets fertilised and then latches onto the placenta in the womb, pregancy only occurs, if the egg remains attached to the placenta. I don't think a period will happen once an egg is fertilised and latches onto the womb, but I am not expert....

After you ovulate your period will not come for 14 - 16 days. This is the rule for everyone. How all women differ is the time from the first day of their period to when they ovulate. If you did in fact ovulate you will not have a period for about 2 weeks past the day of ovulation. The egg only survives for about 24 hours tops, but sperm can live inside days prior to ovulation. Don't apologize, it's not something that anyone really pays attention to until you start to try. Best of luck!

if the egg is fertilised then the period will never happen so it doesn't matter whether it is due before it gets to the womb or not.

seems such as you're having intercourse at precisely the spectacular time. i became into utilising a primary variety ovulation kit, and it became into beneficial for 3 or 4 days as properly, which became into complicated. So I switched to a ClearBlue digital ovulation try. It exhibits an empty circle while you at the instant are not ovulating, and a happyface while you're :) It became into much less complicated. For the 2nd area of your question, i do no longer comprehend if it relatively is significant to have intercourse regular. My hubby and that i attempted to as a results of fact we figured, the extra opportunities the extra advantageous! some human beings say another day nevertheless. stable luck. :D

It worries me to see all these woman asking all of these basic questions about their bodies and their cycles….and then getting all these different answers – and usually most of these answers are WRONG!
This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!
