Well for the last month, I have been working out at the gym 3 to 4 times a week for about an hour (cardio). Do you think that would stop my period or make me have some spotting? About 3 weeks ago I ate a banana and a glass of water and went straight to the gym. But when I got there I felt sick and vomited. Now that made me go to Target and get a pregnancy test. It read "not pregnant". Well this was only after about 2 days of my period being late. But I tested again about 1 week later and still read: "not pregnant". I still have not gotten my period (but spotting like everyday or every other day though). Well my last menstrual period was from 6-28 to 7-1.
Lately I have had the worst mood swings. I am extremely mean to my husband, and some cramping (you know the kind where it feels like your about to start you period?). Also, my breast are not sore "all the time". More so in the morning when I first get out of bed and some days worst than others.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

That doesn't seem like enough working out to affect your period. But everyone is different. Check with your doctor.

i work out 4 times a week. and my period usually is 2-3 days late. and you just started exercised this much for the past month, so your body probably is adjusting (mine did the same thing. exercise is quite strenuous on the body and it is very common for it to make your cycle irregular. but so does stress! control that stress of thinking about your period/pregnancy b/c you can stress the period right away.

also, this all depends on when the sex was that "may" have conceived a child. but typically, if your body has built up enough of the hormone to miss a period, then a test should be positive as well...especially when considering how late you are. did you try EPT? i think they are the best home tests. you may need to ease your mind and get a blood test.

i have really bad PMS symptoms, and i go basically the same thing as you EVERY MONTH (due to the exercise, PMS, wondering if i'm pregnant). but PMS is a nasty thing. look it up, the symptoms of PMS and pregnancy are identical. and my symptoms get worse as i get older. so i feel your pain of confusion.

i hope the best for you! (whatever that is :) you never said whether you want to be pregnant or not. but i hope the best, either way.

Well I don't know much but I have heard that too much exercise can stop your period, and especially if you don't have a good meal before you exercise. i was a week late with my period and i took a pregnancy test, it came out positive. From what i understand you don't spot when you are on your period until your last couple of days when your due,i did. But the best way is going to a doctor, he/she will tell you for sure.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!BEST OF WISHES.

working out does have something to do with your period been late or different. you been sick is because you are working out way to much and not eating healthy. not getting enough nutrients in your system. Which makes you get lite headed and then you vomit.

It may be delayed due to your new workout. Also can be delayed because of stress or worrying. If you do not start in another 3 days take another test. Try and relax.

Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. If you're getting a negative reading you're most likely not pregnant.
If your percentage of body fat is too low, it can stop your menstruation. Are you eating too little and exercising too much?
