When I was 16 I wanted to be a male fashion model. I dreamed of seeing my picture in magazines and I wanted to be a spokesmodel for products. I hired a photographer, I got a composite together and I networked all the major agencies in Chicago. I signed non exclusively with several agencies. I worked as a waiter mostly but I did get some great non fashion related jobs. I modelled restaurant wear at a convention center. I toured all over Illinois dressed as Captain Morgan with my winches and bodyguard/driver. I appeared as an extra in such feature films as "The Color Of Money", I shook hands with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise. Mrs. Bellushi gave me a ride home from the set one night. I was a regular extra on tv's Crime Story about the mob scene in Chicago in the 60's. I appeared in the pilot and as a cop at many crime scenes investigated in the storylines. I met the entire cast. I was the killer in a weekend long murder mystery at an upscale resort. I was so convincing that a real cop pulled his gun on the actor playing an FBI agent apprehending me in the final scene of the mystery. It was awesome and I'd do it all again if I had the time. The great thing about extra work is that you can be anyone, any age and any size. Just be real and you can be on the set of many movies. I recommend it to anyone trying to get into the modelling industry. The same people who represent models often represent extras and actors. You never know when a director will like your look and give you a line. It's all about exposure. I did not become a model, but I decided that I really didn't want to be one anyway. It's really hard, humiliating work.

In college I posed nude for an advanced figure drawing class. There were several models, and we'd do 4 15 minute poses. I did it for the extra cash. The first time was a little uncomfortable, but yes, I'd do it again.

I did back in middle and high school. Even had a scholorship to JRP modeling school. But my grades dropped so my parents pulled me out. My first show was for the a Girls Scouts of America event. Fun times.

I have, a few times
Turned out one agency went bankrupt
The other one was a fraud
And the latter used my photos for certain magazines in Eastern Europe I found out later, including the underwear shots

But I had a laugh though, great experience and not a penny earned in the end

I modeled for a plus-size fashion show at a local store once. It was a total blast. :) I would definitely do it again! It was one of the most exciting things I've ever done, because I felt so pretty!!! :)

yes i have modeled. i did it for 4 straight solid years than went to just doing it here and there.
Yes i enjoyed most of it but it does take strong discipline, strength and time.
If you don't have that then it's hard to go forward into the career.
Modeling isn't for everyone, it's harder than most imagine.

I modeled nude for an art class when I was in college. It was an easy way to make money, and people said good things about my body.
